Frodo stepped out from Bag End and looked around in the darkness of the evening. The sun was setting behind the flat hills of the shire and small cicadas were sounding all around the garden. He placed a long and neatly carved brown pipe between his small lips as he watched the pale moon for a while. It was such a wonderful evening today and he was really in the mood to go to the Green Dragon and relax with a nice beer. He knew that some of his friends would be there – including his cousin Peregrin Took – or as some would call him; Pippin. Frodo’s small fingers ran over the wooden dragon that coiled around the long pipe and his nails counted the scales one by one before they reached the head with the open toothy mouth and the empty eyes. It was a beautiful pipe he had gotten from his Uncle Bilbo for his last birthday and Frodo loved it. Dragons were his favourite creatures of all and he wished that he could have seen one in real life. Slowly the young dark haired hobbit stepped down onto the road and made his way in a calm pace towards the town with the smoking chimneys. He saw the light in the windows from the Green Dragon, and the closer he got to the inn, the louder became the voices in there. Someone was singing, some glass broke, some people laughed, some argued. Ah, the Green Dragon. There was no better inn in the entire Shire. Frodo walked up the step and slowly pushed the heavy wooden door open. He stepped inside and looked around.

A gentle sigh left Bree's lips as she gently brushed Nani with her hand. She didn't exactly want to go to bed, and she didn't want to put her pony up for the night either. With a smile she looked back at her house, only seeing one room aglow, and quietly hopped back on Nani. The horse knickered, curious as to what was going on, before she let Bree lead her out of the farm and down the road. Her sun blond curls bounced up and down as her pony walked on the bumpy road. Her light blue eyes with flicks of green moved from the road to the side of it as she took the scenery in.
Bree had traveled this road many times, going into the heart of Shire. But never really at night and never had it been so quiet. However there was the occasion chirp of a cricket or a rustle of the wind. The wind was a nice welcoming breeze, compared to the heat earlier that day. Lately, the summer days hadn't been too bad. A light sigh left her lips as she looked ahead, deciding to go to the Green Dragon. Nani shook her head and Bree lightly moved her reins, making Nani go a hint more faster. After all, Bree didn't want to miss all the fun.
Bree's eyes saw the familiar sign of the Green Dragon, as she looked at all the windows aglow. The noise of laughter and glasses clinging together filled the air around the pub. Bree smiled gently as she moved Nani towards the nearest tree. She slowly but graciously got off her pony and fixed her yellow dress. She grabbed the rope and tied it around the tree, "Now stay here"
she spoke gently with a smile. Her body moved as she saw another hobbit soon go into the pub. Bree wasn't too far behind and soon she opened the door and walked in, almost running into Frodo. "Ah, excuse me" she spoke with a small grin, not realizing who it was. She moved past him and walked up to the bar as she ordered an ale at the bar. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Pippin had been at the Three Dragon ever since this afternoon when he had arrived. It was not just a wonderful bar, but it was also a great inn where the young hobbit could stay the night. It was too late for him to go all the long way home so he had of course rented a small hobbit-sized room with a small bed, a closet and a candle that lit up the entire room. The young hobbit (youngest one of the group of his friends) had been sitting on the bed with his feet barely being able to touch the floor before he with a deep sigh decided to go downstairs. Pippin stepped in front of the mirror and looked at himself from top to toe. A small golden haired boy with a pointy nose and a round belly stared back at him. He corrected the collar of his shirt and smiled happily back at himself as his green eyes sparkled in the dim light from the candle.
With happy steps, the young hobbit walked down the stairs from the rooms to the bar. He got greeted by the lovely Rosie who worked there and he greeted back as a gentle flush appeared on his cheeks. No wonder that Sam had a crush on this nice hobbit girl. She was indeed a pretty one. He looked around at some old hobbits, who were sitting and discussing Bilbo Baggins’ birthday with grumpy voices and small grimaces. They seemed rather unpleased by the strange adventurous old hobbit who did not look older than his 40’s. It was weird though, he was turning 111.
After a few ales Pippin glanced outside the window and saw how the sky turned red. The old hobbits had left as some younger ones entered loudly the bar and started singing. Pippin watched them for a while with a small smile as he sipped to his beer, but as the song got louder and his mug got emptier, the young hobbit joined their happy song. “Hey ho to the bottle I go To heal my heart and drown my woe Rain may fall and wind may blow But there still be... many miles to go Sweet is the sound of the pouring rain And the stream that falls from hill to plain Better than rain or rippling brook
Is a mug of beer inside this Took!” He ended with a loud laughter and applauds from the hobbits who had been sitting and watching the youngsters jump up on the table and sing. Pippin found himself standing on the wooden table he had been sitting by with his mug in his hand and looking directly at a dark hared hobbit with big blue eyes. “Ahoy cousin!” he waved at Frodo and gave him a big smile. “Come over here and sit with me!” Pippin had to yell loudly because of the noise. A blond haired head had appeared at the bar and Pippin scouted after his other good friend Brywynn. “Bryyyyywyyyyynnn!” He yelled. “Brywynn! Over here!” Pippin waved at her and patted the neat next to him by the table after he had jumped down from it. “Come and sit here with us.” Another song had begun.
