Aragorn was born on the 1st of March, 2931 to Arathorn II and Gilraen the Fair. When he was two years old (2933), his father was killed whilst fighting orcs with Elrond's sons, Elladan and Elrohir. His mother takes Aragorn to live with Elrond where he is raised as a foster son. He was given the name Estel, which means hope. When he was twenty years old (2951), he learns his true name and heritage from Elrond along with being given the shards of Narsil along with the Ring of Barahir.
