Yes, it was a dark place, but Ulf actually liked it! He found it weird that in a modern world there was a dark plague-looking place like this town. It was like going back in time when you entered this street. Not that entering Rohan gave you the same feeling – it really did. But this was extreme. The man had been here once before – only once. He had never felt the need for going here and had just entered to have a look around. That was also what he did now. He was not on any dark arts business, nor was he looking for a fight. He was just curious about this place.
Ulf stopped for a moment and looked around. He could not see the sky from the dark roofs that reached all the way up and stood around him like angry giants. Nor could he see the sun anyway. This street was always dark and shadowed. It always seemed to be the same season here and the same hour of day. You couldn’t probably tell the difference between day and night. Also the people that lived here reminded him a lot of some kind of water creatures that did not lived on dark depths but also in deep caves. He could not help but to smirk at one of the unhealthy looking people.
Somehow Ulf fitted well in among them. Surely he was not unhealthy looking. Actually he was far from that. He was tall, muscular and had a wrinkled face that told everyone about his hard work and that he spent all his time outside. But despite of that, he looked rather dark himself. It was not something he had chosen and he liked this look. Women liked it as well… His beard was long and so was the hair on his head. He was wearing a long black cloak that reached the ground and had some dark fur over the shoulders. His cold green eyes were somehow distant and he had a big scar covering one side of his face. Sure he fitted in perfectly well.
The man stopped in front of a large shop with a dusty sign which said Potions. He looked through the big windows at the many objects and ingredients there were on display before the stepped up and entered the shop. He was not interested in buying anything – just have a look around.
