ADAIRIN KINGSLEY*
adairin aeri kingsley. twenty - two years old physically, male. he answers to rin, mostly; addi or aeri if you must, but typically just rin. he stands at five feet and nine inches tall, a fairly good height; though, not when combined with his weight of just over one hundred pounds. although he is very light and slim, rin has a fair amount of muscle. his hair is a somewhat neat shaggy 'bob', of sorts, jet black in color. his hair is typically side - swept across his forehead and over his deep blue eyes. his skin is very lightly tanned; he doesn't have very many skin pigments. rin has long limbs and a very small waist, especially for a male; his build is fairly sturdy, though. rin isn't built for strength, but for speed; though he is tall, his small and light build allows him to move faster than someone of normal weight.
hm. how to describe rin, that is the question. his personality is very light - hearted and kind, in all reality; he is very rarely angry at someone. of course, everyone gets a temper, his is just set off far less often than most. rin is very protective of his two siblings, and will go into parenting mode when they are in trouble; the same goes for if he has a close friend whom is in danger.

sydney couldn't help but let out a small chuckle when axas said his father thought he looked constipated in pictures; he'd heard that so many times from his little brother after said sibling attempted to take pictures of the eldest. it was always fun to look at pictures and try and pick out little things wrong with them - things that didn't matter but would forever irk you - and attempt to fix them. sydney couldn't help but do that at every picture he took; his sister recorded him, once, while he was going over his pictures just to show him how crazy he was - and it proved its point quite well. the entire video was full of the young man cursing and mumbling under his breath, furiously deleting pictures and attempting to fix others in photoshop. the things he's done in photoshop . . . it amazed people when seeing the before and after pictures - it amazed his siblings that he had spent a full twenty hours trying to get it to look like that.
waking himself from yet another epic distraction of the void that is his mind - if that even makes sense - sydney smiled. " it's hard to genuinely look bad in a photo, unless you're mid-motion. then you might just look awkward. but, ya, it's usually the photographer; it's our job to help you fix your pose so that you look as good as you can get, " he replied with enthusiasm. this was a topic he could go on and on about - whether it be ranting about how horrible someone is at following directions, or how amazingly beautiful he managed to take of a lightning bolt . . . which is, i might add, the hardest picture to take. sydney . . . giggled? yes, he giggled. more specifically, at the comment about having a stick up his ass. and maybe it was also a bit of a nervous giggle due to his axas had added a very flirtatious comment with it. " awesome~ we'll have to try and figure out when sometime, then, " he commented with a smile.
the boy tilted his head slightly to the side a bit, watching with extreme curiosity as axas wrote on a card. he picked it up and smiled softly, blushing when he read the extra writing. mutely, sydney slipped the card into a very safe place in his bag before taking out his own business card, mimicking what axas had done. he had horrible handwriting, sydney found out - his sad attempt at calligraphy would have made most people just burst out laughing. i don't know what i did for karma to let me meet someone like you. it was extremely cheesy and, sydney admitted, he could have really done a lot better - but hey, it kind of matched the romantic yet cheesy yet completely adorable atmosphere that was going on. sydney flashed a shy smile before slipping his own card over to axas, just as the food got set on the table - he was practically drooling over how delicious it smelled, especially to his hungry stomach.
as soon as the food was set in front of him, sydney began to eat - it smelled too good for him to just sit there and stare at it. he was also all too eager to help get the alcohol out of his system; although it had only been a bit, he tended to start showing his drunkenness much sooner than others. when others had a buzz, sydney was still mostly sober - but looked like he was drunk out of his mind. it was useful in some situations - like trying to get out of a slip up, since everyone goes 'eh, he's drunk, he doesn't know any better' - but harmful when trying to impress someone. sydney knew better than anyone that enough food was an excellent way to get alcohol out of your system, as long as you weren't completely drunk - it helped to absorb it, or something like that. his sister had read it to him once, when she was trying to help him with -- no, i can't think about that. he always hated thinking about it, let alone admitting it.
sydney's attention snapped back to axas when the other spoke. his face lit up at the mention of walking along the water's edge. beach. it reminded him of his house, along the ocean - it was beautiful to watch the sun's movements over the water, and even more so to look at the moon and its reflection along the water's surface. he had taken so many pictures of it that he could fill multiple computers with all of them, good and bad. noticing he had gotten off track thinking about home, sydney nodded excitedly, nearly choking on the food he was chewing. he coughed slightly and then swallows, wanting to be able to talk without being overly rude and disgusting. " that sounds amazing! i love the ocean . . . and the moon reflection over it, especially at night . . . it's beautiful, " he said, calming down towards the end. you gotta control yourself, sydney, he thought, don't want to look like a fool . . . again. he prevented himself from remember that story, too.
with the silence after his question, sydney felt like he may have put out a wrong suggestion - that axas didn't want to let out personal information. before he could awkwardly apologize and take back what he said, axas nodded and spoke. sydney couldn't help but smile at this; it was a childish game, one he used to play all the time when he was little because it was a very good way to get to know someone. seeing as axas had, at first, seemed a little hesitant, sydney decided he would try and keep it simple - no asking personal information, just favorites of sorts. what he liked. what he didn't like. maybe if he was single or not . . . " it's actually a really easy game once you get the hang of it. hmm . . . i think i'll start with a few questions, actually. get it going faster, " he stated with a smile.
" okay, so. favorite color? are you a dog person or a cat person? well, i guess now you can throw horse person into there . . . any of those three, really. what is your favorite . . . flower? " he asked, just starting off. those were fairly basic things to ask, sydney figured. nice and simple. " for me, it's blue, but kind of a sky blue. dog. and alstroemeria, also known as the australian lily, " the boy sounded almost proud at the end of that. not many people knew about that flower, though - it looked like any other flower, but it had something to it that made sydney just want to hang onto it forever. sydney continued to eat - at a slower pace, now - as he waited for both axas's answers as well as for the new question . . . or questions, whichever axas decided to go with.
