LOTHÍRIELIMRAZOR*
History: Lothíriel often views herself as the little princess that almost nobody seems to really know about, and she's perfectly happy having it that way. She was born in the year 2980 of the third rage, making her nearing her twenty-first birthday this year. She is the fourth child and only daughter of Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth. Her mother was Cerawyn, who belonged to the noble house of Amrodath. The marriage of her parents was somewhat arranged by her grandfather, Adrahil, but the pair sincerely fell in love not long after the decision was first made. That was partially why despite the fact that she had three brothers before her (and plenty of heirs to take the throne), her parents continued to have children. Her mother used to say she was always hoping to have a little girl someday too.
Lothíriel is grateful to admit that, overall, she had a rather wonderful childhood. The kingdom of Dol Amroth is somewhat smaller and lesser known, especially outside the lands of Gondor. However, it is also a rather beautiful country, tucked away behind the mountains, and surrounded by rich fields to one side and the sea coast of Middle Earth to the other. With her royalty status, she was granted private tutoring, which took up most of her early years. While she was never expected to ever take the Dol Amroth throne herself, she was allowed to be prepared in a manner similar to her elder brothers, Elphir, Erchirion and Amrothos. She learned history, reading and writing, both in her countries common speech as well as some elvish. Of course, as a woman there was more of a focus in art and music, compared to her brothers lessons on fighting and riding, but secretly she dabbled in those subjects too. Lothíriel was always very curious, and her brothers were usually happy to comply when she wanted a lecture or two on combat or horse back riding. While not exactly ladylike, her parents turned a blind eye and let her get away with such mannerisms when she was younger. There was some greater freedom with the rules when living in a more private kingdom such as Dol Amroth.
Lothíriel also always had a love for traveling and exploring, and would usually try to find an excuse to go on trips with her father, even if they were political in nature. If the journey was expected to be relatively safe and peaceful, she was allowed to come. Most often she would go to Minas Tirith, where her father's brother in law, Lord Denethor, was steward. She always liked her uncle Denethor well enough, but on these visits she was especially fond of her older cousins, Faramir and Boromir. Even now, Lothíriel has rarely traveled outside the territories of Gondor, but it is still a dream of hers to see as much as Middle Earth as possible.
Overall, it is easy to tell the she has a very happy and simple life, until she neared her later teen years. Around that time, her mother fell gravely ill, and the sickness could not be identified or easily cured. Cerawyn barely had the strength to get out for bed during the last couple weeks, before she finally passed away. While she seemed in little pain as she died, Lothíriel and the rest of her family took the loss very hard. In her mind, her mother was always a source of light and comfort in their house, and it felt very empty not to have her around. She felt more and more lost without her mother around. Her brothers were getting older, preparing to get married and take their rightful positions of rulers of the kingdom. What was she meant to do, though? Now almost two years later, Lothíriel is a regal young woman, but still feeling unsure of what she should do next in her life. She still feels very close with her family, especially her father now, and it is obvious to tell that there is a shadow from the west that is looming over their heads. She fears for the sake of all their futures, and somewhat hates that she feels powerless to be of any help.
Personality: There are somewhat two sides to Lothíriel's personality, though admittedly you see one more than the other. The persona you most often see is one you would expect from a princess. She knows how to hold herself very gracefully and maturely in front of others. She is calm, respectful, but also intellectual. She likes to hold intelligent conversations, and is not easily intimidated, so she'll speak comfortably with just about anybody. Admittedly, this can also result in her being somewhat bold and opinionated, though, she tries her best not to come off as rude. On the contrary, she is rather kind-hearted and would avoid hurting anyone if possible, but she can just be rather determined about her beliefs. Lothíriel is definitely a friendly woman, and is usually happy to meet anyone with a smile or lend a helping hand.
While knowing there are expectations of her, she does try to come off as more mild-mannered as described above, but deep down she is still as spirited as she was as a child. There is still that same curiosity when it comes to exploring, and she even has a healthy sense of adventure. Mind you, she's usually reasonable enough not to do anything dangerous and risky. She's been somewhat trained on how to handle herself in a fight, but she has very little desire to take part in any sort of physical combat. Still, at the same time she is fiercely protective and loyal of the people she cares about, and if it was for the sake of helping them she has the courage to accomplish pretty much anything. However, despite her best intentions, it is also true enough that she has yet to face such hardships in her life, and is honestly almost innocent or naïve in a way, though she may not want to admit it. You can be assured that her heart would almost always be in the right place though.

Maria resisted the urge to sigh dramatically as she did her best to listen closely as her father continued to talk rapidly on the other end of her phone. In all honesty, by now she was pretty used to getting these daily calls, or rather daily interrogations, from one Mr. Jackson, but that didn't mean they were really improving in conversation. Finally, after a few more seconds, Maria rolled her eyes and gently interrupted him. "But really, Dad, you have to stop reading the paper and then automatically assumed I'm involved in every freaky thing that happens in London!" she lectured, slightly exasperated, though tried not to raise her voice too much. She was still in public after all. The young woman had just finished her last class for the day, and since her roommate had took the car she was stuck to walking back to the flat this time. Which really wasn't so bad, since at least it was pouring rain or anything today. Her last comment didn't seem to put him at complete ease, though, and she stopped walking down the sidewalk and leaned across the corner of a building. "Dad, you know there's not secrets between us, not anymore. Just trust that I'll let you know these things, yeah?" she pleaded, more gently this time. Her lips curved into a small smile as that finally made him wind down. "Alright, love you too. I'll talk to you later," she added, before closing the cell.
With that taken care of, Maria finally let out a light sigh. It's not like she was really going to blame her father for worrying about her somewhat. Her after school hobby was exactly something normal like volleyball or book club. Still, he really should have learned by now that, after almost 7 years of knowing about aliens and such, she didn't plan on hiding too much from him any more. Yes, she left out certain details of her adventures at time just so he wouldn't have a heart attack. Honestly, it wasn't like he was getting any younger...she did worry about him too, being so far away an all. But the point was that if there was real trouble she would call, and if all else fails Sarah Jane and the others always looked out for her. And she would do the same for them, no matter what. That was also something he should have learned very well by now. She really hope it wouldn't take another seven years for the message to finally sink in.
Stepping away from the building she was resting against, Maria turned her wrist slightly to glance down at her watch. She had told Rani they could meet later for coffee or something, but she knew it would still be several hours before the girl would be available. That girl seemed to be getting busier and busier every day, it was getting hard to keep up. Heading back to the flat for now was still probably the best idea, and that way she could also drop her school stuff off instead of lugging it around all day. The dark-haired girl picked up her feet again and started walking, but then about five seconds later, a old clunker of a car drove past her and backfired, rather loudly. It might as well have been a canon going off next to her ear. Everyone around her was immediately surprised, but Maria had been so startled that she lost hold of her bag and it fell off her shoulder. A variety of books, papers, and writing utensils immediately scattered on the sidewalk. "Oh, bloody h-" she began, but cut the curse off by biting her lip. She knew it was nasty habit that she shouldn't get used to. Sarah Jane still glared at her every time she tried. Though rest assured violent words were being said in her head still, Maria just crouched down and tried to gather her things as quickly as possible, hoping to get over this embarrassment quickly.
