Horse-whispererA horse whisperer has the ability to communicate with horses. This is a very rare ability and it is usually genetic - especially for elves and people in rohan. So in your application you cannot just ”have” the ability without knowing where or who it is coming from.
Witch
We are talking about old fashioned witches here. No wands or quidditch. You are allowed to have a broom you can fly on. You have ONE animal companion with you and that is either a raven, cat, toad, rat, snake or a big spider. nothing else! Witches do not have big powers. They can put curses on people, but the curses do not always work - their curses have long rimes and some of them need to have special ingredients. They are talented in potions and poisons... This ability is available for all sexes, however male characters would also be called "witches" not wizards. The wizards as Gandalf and Saruman are their own species - their special ability is now available for others. This is the closest you will get to them.
Siren Voice
A person with a Siren Voice can catch everyone's attention with his/her songs. They can call people to them from a long distance by singing about them. This ability is very hard to master and it will only be available to older elves and people who have lived with the elves.
Tree-whisperer
A person who can talk to trees. It is racial for elves, but everyone can get the ability. The trees will not really talk back to you, however you can teach them to move and attack (like Fangorn Forest) for example. This ability has also a weak healing power towards plants.
Power of Speech
This is an ability that is very well-known for Saruman to possess. It is an ability that gives you great rhetorical powers and you can convince people into almost everywhing by using this ability. It is racial for ancient beings like the wizards, however other races have to apply for it.
Seer
A seer can see into the future – this ability is genetic too. Notice that the future is always changing so what they see cannot always be something that will happen. Usually their visions come without warning, but some really powerful seers can control them and force themselves to see. The seers cannot only see into the future, but also into the past – though the visions of the past has to be trained forth because they do not appear all of sudden like the visions of the future.
Healer
No, not that kind with spells and charms and such. This person has a big knowledge in plants and the elvish language. (dwarves use their own language for this and orcs the language or mordor). The person with this ability will be able to find healing plants everywhere and with his keen eye for these plants and his healing words, he will be able to heal almost every wound. This ability is well-known for both Aragorn and Elrond to have.
Magic Channelling
THIS IS ONLY FOR MAIARS AND THE LIKE! The power is very simple. All Maiar require a staff to channel their magical energies properly. Of course, magic can be used and channeled without, but it is both weaker and more difficult to control. Some Maiars choose a weapon to channel their magid through however they still possess a staff, as all members of the White Council do (hence the staves of the White Council).
Telepathy
THIS IS ONLY FOR QUEEN GALADRIEL! Telepathy is the rare ability to see into the minds of others. Telepathy is by no means accidental and it requires a great deal of training and focus, but most importantly many decades and even centuries of practise. It is a gift that only wisdom and power can provide however it demands respect and is tempered best with a desire for justice and peace. A telepath can see into a person’s mind to protect their own thoughts or ‘voice’ into their consciousness or else read the subject’s thoughts. The subject need not be telepathic to return these thoughts, they must simply be heard by the telepath in question, allowing them to share entire conversations without moving their lips. Though the gift demands respect, the telepath need not be given permission to enter the mind of another and can delve into their deepest memories, darkest secrets and seek out their every fear and desire, even those they try to keep hidden from all, themselves included. The telepath’s ability to speak into another mind is somewhat limited by distance however the more important facet is relationship. Though the most powerful are less hindered by this, a telepath’s connection will be greater (and therefore survive further) with their kinsman for example.
