Maybe friend is too generous a term, but, someone along the lines of a companion (she's relatively difficult you see!). As a member of the White Council, Alatar offers the enormous boon of safety in exchange for frustrating company. Stick with her, and you'll be sure to be drawn into the thick of the plot. She's on her way to Rivendell from the north, so if you're anywhere in that general area, hit me up with something.

Well, Hammurabi is in the North currently, likewise making his way towards Rivendel... Though I do not really know how well he'd get on with a member of the White Council.

hey, that's fine too. So long as you're comfortable with Alatar being a bit of a loose cannon. If you want to start a thread I can reply in the morning, or I can in the morning if you've gone off to bed!
Goodluck with her. ;D [/justify][/blockquote]

Offering a part-time companion right here! Or like a quick acquaintance sort of thing? Lianna's always about somewhere or other... She may be a tad too flighty for you... She could be the 'friend' who pops up from time to time, y'know, Gandalf-esque in The Hobbit sorta thing (:

Flighty is fine. I mean, I can't really expect many people to stick with Alatar after all! But it would set at least a familiar tone between the two - might be helpful or even life-saving for Lianna in times to come. (:

peregrin tooksince he is a fellowship canon, I think think that they can have too big a plot together. However it could be fun if they just met without Pippin knowing that she was a maiar (or in his eyes a "wizard") - perhaps one day at the prancing pony or something and they can just have a talk? I don't know if she would like Pippin, well you know how he is... haha
alvin dalealvin dale is a 32 year old minstrel from Bree. He has the ability of Siren Voice without knowing it and just thinks that he attracts people because he is generally good at his profession. Since Alatar is a higher being, she would of course know about his ability and perhaps they could have a meeting where she tells him about it? She could even train him to control it a bit? Being a hopeless romantic he would probably fall in love with her during the process.
fengel folcwineThis is my favourite character of all those I have. Fengel is a very good-hearted, warm and sweet shepherd from Rohan. There is nothing special or magical about him. He is just a simple farmer who wants to survive the war without having to fight in it. His love for his parents and his brother is so big that it is still a mystery to me and I am currently working on finding that out. He is very clumsy and is not a fighter. He is a dreamer however and if he gets to know that Alatar is magical he would not be surprised since he believes that everything around him is magical. He really loves magic and dreams about travelling out to the elves and learn some from them... But the young boy is bound to his shepherd work (which is also why he has not yet found a girl, even though he is 20 years old)
gárulf folcwineGárulf is everything Fengel is not. He is his older brother and their age differ 10 years. But despite that Gárulf still acts as if he is in his 20's. The man is brave, athletic and quite good with the women. He is a Rohirrim Rider and now lives in Edoras where his captain Eomer + the King's son Theodred are. He is very good with the horses and his favourite weapon is a dagger. Actually two daggers (he duel-wields them). The man does not really believe in magic magic and he would probably see Alatar as a normal woman who has been trained by the elves or something - not anything stronger unless she tells him. Gárulf would not hesitate with flirting with her if their paths ever meet...
tom bombadilbeing an ancient being and as old as the earth itself, the man has reached a state where he accepts life as it is without wanting to change anything. He does not want to attend any wars, the ring has no power over him (he would most likely forget it if it got in his posession) and all he cares about is his lovely wife, Goldberry and her cooking. Oh and the old forest of course - which he guards. I am sure that he and Alatar would meet - or have met. He is a good friend of Gandalf's and probably Saruman's as well - if Saruman ever visited the old forest. Alatar would be most welcome to stay and rest at his house on her journey.

@ Garulf
-> Peregrin Took
I love Pippin. He's exactly the sort of warm spirited, comedic counter-balance that Alatar needs. I would be more than willing to throw them together in any sort of event prior to Rivendell (where I can only assume Alatar is going to be on the council...).
-> Alvin Dale
Alatar would be more than willing to set him straight about his abilities (especially if he proposed himself gods gift to women, oh Alatar would have a field day). How willing she'd be to 'help' him control said ability remains to be seen however. Nonetheless, Alatar will be heading to Bree soon. See you there?
-> Fengel Folcwine
This one actually strikes me as the most intriguing. It is because they are completely different in literally every way; male and female, meek and powerful, pacifist and war monger. Why? The most thought provoking conversation would come of this. Because conflict is all she's born to know, it might actually mess with her head a little bit to hear someone think drastically different.
-> Garulf Folcwine
To be honest, this man interests me a tad less than the rest. Much the same argument above; only Garulf is far too similar in nature to Alatar for them to have much of an interesting discussion. This does not mean, however, that they may not meet under more dire circumstances later on. Just that given the lack of plot advancement right now, I don't see much justification in it yet.
-> Tom Bombadil
Tom is the freaking man. Doesn't give a shit about anything but his woman. I can see Alatar going to him for advice, or even possibly, to try to convince him to leave his forest and join the war.
@ Lianna
I'm busy-ish this afternoon. If you'd like to start a thread, I'll gladly join it. If I'm back before you start it, I'll start one. :]

If you want a thread with the Pipster too why don't we have a three-way between us? Wherever you want, Lianna's there (:

If that's okay with El, then I don't seen any reason not to. Where the thread would occur is my bigger question, aha.

I am totally in with a three-way thread However It has to be somewhere around Bree if Pippin has to be in it and remember, Alatar cannot reveal herself for him.

Reveal herself as in as a Maiar?
Well then! When Alatar's current thread wraps up, the next destination is Bree! This'll be interesting. :D

Yes and no, as a "wizard" - he does not know Maiars. The only wizard he knows is Gandalf

Unless threatened, Alatar doesn't favor flaunting her abilities. It only draws trouble to her. Pippin's middle name, methinks.
Won't be mentioned.
